REACH for the European market and the requirements of European regulation 2009 restrict opportunities for innovation in the field of raw materials. To maintain its innovation "products" and secondarily claim new "claims".
The cosmetics industry research materials from the "safe and controlled" sectors.

For example, the planned restriction prohibiting exfoliating microbeads forced the cosmetic sector to quickly find alternative solutions and the use of fragments of milled plant is envisaged. In this context, the innovative decontamination technologies are the key to successful implementation of these raw materials. The rapid response needed on the effectiveness of decontamination treatments is even more crucial and reinforces the interest of alternative methods of microbiological control.

This first edition of Cosmetics A3P Forum will review the decontamination technologies for raw materials and present the latest requirements of the new harmonized repository "Cosmos Organic". A section will also be devoted to the evolution of standards related to microbiological control (NF-EN-ISO) with particular focus on the validation of alternative techniques. Several stories will illustrate the importance of these methods that enhance the reactivity of laboratories and contribute to shorten the strategic "time to market".
